Strawberries for Your Birthday

Today I celebrated my first day this quarter successfully attending all of my classes! What better way to celebrate than by a case of strawberries? No better way, that's what.
And, when eating my delicious fruit while watching How I Met Your Mother, I discovered these three titanic berries. Take a gander.
Here compared to a mouse. Not a fuzzy, squeaky one, but a clicky, internet-ty one. Or maybe that's another strawberry...hey! Where's my mouse? Crap!
Anyway, what are the odds of finding THREE Hope Diamond-sized strawberries in one carton? Very slim, or at least where I am from it is. (In Alaska, it's lucky to find a strawberry the size of one of those gems you get from those 25 cent ring dispensers.) Needless to say, this was a golden opportunity! So, as Lilly and Marshall got married, I took these photos.

Kissy-kissy!

So, that last one is supposed to look like Strawberry A gets caught by Strawberry 2 with his pants down, but I can't exactly draw sooo...
CLOSE UP!
Yeah, went there! High-five!

...Nice!

Okay, so I watch too much How I Met Your Mother, but can you blame me?

Now, you might notice that I've really only been taking pictures of two strawberries. Keen observation, but what am I supposed to do with this:

It looks like a bulbasaur's foot print or Siamese twins, but I don't really know if I could pull that off on my blog. But say, you know that it does look like?

Mustache!

MUSTACHE!!!
 MUSTACHE!!!!!
Seriously, what's with our culture and mustaches???
Okay, that's it guys.

First Day Back on Campus

When I arrived at midnight this morning to Ashland, my friend Caila was there to pick me up in her killer vintage Jeep! It's this awesome vehicle that makes is reminiscent of Jurassic Park so every time I ride in it I am always expecting to see raptors zooming by. Alas, no disnosaurs! But we did almost hit an owl!
I stayed up until 4:00 am crafting things with a friend. She with paints, I on Minecraft. Hey, I'm not addicted!
Wonderful fist day! Got hella mail. A (extremely belated) birthday present for a friend, a Toastmaster, and tons of KetchiCandies chocolate! YAY! Not bad for a first day back, eh?
My dear, dear gay buddy Keefer and I hung out for several hours tonight taking absurd photos on Photo Booth. I procured a rainbow afro during break and make-shift hipster glasses so swell times were had by all. I really want to add the pictures, but, alas, Keefer is reluctant due to what I wrote on his belly about clowns. CLOWN SMASH!

Minecrafting in Giraffc Park

Yesterday was my last full day in Ketchikan before I head back to Oregon for School. Can you guess how I spent it? Yeah, I Minecrafted with my buddy Anne. Hey! I got a new shiney, cherry-red mouse and I HAD to break it in!!
I have to say, I am loving the new update! It's amazing, if a little disturbing. If you play the game, you'll understand what I mean if you are ever close to an Enderman. The noises they made are BEYOND disturbing. The zombies, which used to be cute despite their groans, now hold items. Mostly, this is awesome. It's an easy way to get spuds and carrots...but this gets creepy too...Like, for example, how they can carry around Zombie Flesh.

Can you see him peeking around the corner? It's a Zombie Spawner Anne found lurking deep in our mines. Minecraft can always be counted on to be interesting!
We started Crafting around 2:30, too a break at 6:00 for dinner and continued from about 8:00-12:30. I changed my texture pack a few times through out that time span. Currently, it's PokeCraft. Awesome! The flowers are super cute!
This is actually our first house. Anne likes to go a bit crazy. I think the pixels go to her head and she creates some pretty marvelous things on Minecraft. I'll be sure to share a picture of our second home, Felthrope Manor. It's quite grand!
My texture pack makes all the pictures look like Pokemon!
I'll share more later! I gotta catch a plane!

Happy Birthday, Piggy!

Did someone order another birthday? Cause we have another birthday today! It just so happens to be my favourite boy's birthday!
Happy Birthday, Piggy!
My little guy is now five years old! I've had him since 8th grade, so he has been with me through a lot. I remember when we first got him, he, being a Pomeranian, fit into the palm of my hand! He was just a wee hamster! Now he is a big buff dog! (or the likes to think so =])
For his birthday, he got a mound of prime rib scraps! Lucky dog! Yes, that is a candle. Yes, he did blow it about and make a wish. Thank you for asking.

How about some fun trivia about the birthday boy? Well, over the summer he chased a bear off our porch. I have to tell ya, I don't know what kind of Alaskan bear would run away from an animal that looks more like a guinea pig than a dog, but it happened. Piggy was also born on the same day as Marilyn Manson. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, but I'm pretty sure Piggy is destined for greatness. Let's just hope he doesn't do anything crazy with his fluffers. Well, that brings us to his third trivia fact! He has a Facebook page! Check it out here!

Anyway, gotta get back to Minecrafting!

Murder Mystery!

Another eventful day in the life of Rosemary today! The day began with a slice of my most delectable pie: Sparkleberry Daydream. You get your daily dose of sparkles in every slice! Trust me kids, it works. Lunch came and went with another slice of yummy pie, by this time I was about ready to OD on sparkles, but I managed to survive. Let me tell you, that pie is wonderful!

My super sparkly day continued shortly after lunch with a Murder Mystery Party! In it, a man was found dead in this bath tub, an electric fire (I can only think this was a heater) in his lap. I played the part of the murderous butler. (FUN FACT: This butler, Nobbs was his name, a very woody name, was once a monk. Apparently he killed a monk as well.) Later, the butler died, and I was reincarnated as the detective, and was able to put all the clues together to solve this most perplexing case. In the end, I was the murderer, the murdered, and the detective. I'm so talented! Yay me!

On a side note, all of the gentleman characters, myself included, wore fake mustaches. I've decided that they are great fun and wouldn't mind having one. I used to wonder what it was with our pop culture and bacon, zombies, and MUSTACHES. Well, at least I have one mystery solved! Maybe I'll open a detective business. I seem to have a knack for it.

Anyway, my evening will continue with a Minecraft Extravaganza! Better go smelt some iron for pickaxes!

By the way, I wear the 10th Doctor's Skin on Minecraft. It's nice to know that if I die, I'll just regenerate. =]

Happy Birthday!

It seems like here in the Svenson household, the holidays are constantly one big day after another. When Christmas is over, New Years comes and goes with the fireworks, then barely after that is my little brother's birthday, which is today. He is fifteen now, something I find hard to understand as I am three years older and about half a foot shorter.
Dinner was my one of my little brother's favourites, Mac'n'Ramen. I'm 100% positive that this dish, comprised of Kraft, velveeta, and top ramen, was first concocted by one heavily under the influence, but who am I to judge? Either way, I think it's nasty.
It rained all day, but that didn't stop us from using last of the firecrackers up tonight. I felt like I was in the middle of an air raid. Big bang and big fun!
Now I'm just chilling with some Sparkleb Berry Pie I make earlier. Daily dose of sparkles in every serving! It's basically a peach strawberry pie with sugar baked into the crust so it glitters.
That's all!

Chapter One

Today was a cacophony of wonderful events! For one, it was my last day of until summer! For those of you who have ever worked retail before in your life, you will understand.
For two, the grand opening out new public library. As a huge supporter of literature, this was a must. It did not disappoint. I want to focus on the children's section. A huge tree is bursting out of the centre of the room and it covered in popular literary figures! It's an amazing reproduction of anyone childhood!! Hedwig, Charolettes's Web, and Winnie the Pooh swing in the branches, but there are more and more literary character that pop out as you look. It's wonderful! My favourite one was the appearance of the Very Hungry Caterpillar, a story I loved when I was young. Needless to say, I won't be pending any time in the Teen Section.

A monster from Where the Wild Things Are also lives up there!
This part was hands down, my favourite part! I checked out The Very Hungry Caterpillar constantly when I was little, and I was trilled to peaces to see it eating it's way through a healthy-eating book. Thrilled. To. PIECES.

Different literary characters perch all over, different ones to be seen from every angle! I like to think that Hedwig never died in the least Harry Potter book, she just came to live in this tree here in Ketchikan. It may be a bit improbable, but I like that idea better the the alternative. =]

It may not be easy to see, but this is Charlotte's web hanging under that branch, spelling out "TERRIFIC," in her spidery scrawl. The bark is covered in different saying about reading in many different languages and fabrics! It's actually very cuddly and soft to hug!

I actually meant to go up for a hug when Geralyn decided it was a good time to eat my head....

Gotta run! Peach-raspberry pies are in the oven, and I have sleepovers to attend, though usually sleeping is never involved! Knitty, pie, pajama parties! Hurrah!
